The Choice
What is the Choice? 45 minutes of high quality, multi-media dramatic presentation that is a fun, entertaining and Biblical presentation of the Gospel for children 4 and up. View the video below or click here to view our photo gallery.
The Program We begin with interactive games & singing to welcome the audience & give them an introduction to the choices we face. The program then moves into the dramatic portion, as the lights dim, the children, teens & puppeteers demonstrate the choices that have effected us through the creation of the world, fall of satan, fall of man, the birth of Jesus, His life & miracles, Jesus’ death & resurrection & His direction to the disciples. The audience is then challenged to make The Choice. To end the program we play a review game to help reinforce what was learned & experienced. Practice Schedule The Choice has been designed to practice & prepare the cast & crew in a short amount of time. Our schedule is as follows: Friday night: Cast arrive at church 7:00pm. They are introduced to the program & format, have a time of prayer, then costume fitting & casting begins. We ask for a leaders’ meeting at 6:30pm. The evening ends at 9:00pm. Saturday: 10:00am - cast training begins with a teaching session & parts are assigned. A lunch break at noon (provided by church or sack lunch). Rehearsal till 4:30pm. Sunday Morning or/and Evening: The Choice has also been presented in conjunction with Heaven’s Gate & Hell’s Flames. Please feel free to discuss another schedule with a member of our team. The People The Choice presents many different biblical stories & children are able to play more than one character. All volunteers need to attend all sessions in order to be prepared to minister. Actors: 14 to 60 kids & teens (Dependant upon stage size & cast availability) Puppeteers: 4 to 6 puppeteers (1 experienced puppeteer to be the Narrator.) Adults: 5 to 10 adults (Crowd control, & assist in the training of the cast & crew) The Choice is an effective tool for children to share the gospel with people of all ages. Because The Choice is designed in a way that children do not need to memorize lines, they are able to learn the program easily & in a short amount of time. It provides participants with a great opportunity to invite family & friends to see them present a play that may ultimately lead to their salvation Since January 2004 The Choice has been presented 24 times in Canada as well as in the US. Over 1,700 people have seen The Choice, & of those over 350 children, teen & adults have made The Choice to follow Jesus. The Choice will soon be available in French and eventually Spanish. What We Provide? Once we have confirmation our team will send you an administrative packet full of information to help this event run smoothly. Our ministry team will arrive with the props, set dressings, puppets, puppet stage, costumes of differing sizes, LCD Projector, practice & performance DVD. We may provide lighting & sound system. Our team will provide direction during the rehearsal & ministry time. What We Ask You to Provide! A contact person who will be with us during the training & ministry portion of the weekend & other adults to assist in crowd control and other necessities. A table in the foyer for our team to set up a product table. We ask you to provide meals, traveling expenses, accommodations, and an honorarium. We have had more than a few skeptics who thought the idea of training children in such a short time was impossible. Our team has trained both large & small groups. We have developed the training schedule, visuals & drama to assist in preparing the children to minister to family, friends & to reach out to other. For testimonials click here.
